It may be on the minds of many of you hair transplant applicants that can you have hair transplants on the scalp and face that have been burned or not. Our answer to this question is YES. If you have burnt skin or have a scar due to a burn on your skin, this does not prevent your hair transplant. Today we are trying to explain more about having hair transplant at the site of a burn. First, we briefly describe the types of burns and then examine the hair transplant at the burn site. So keep up!
We can divide skin burns into two categories with relative thickness and full thickness.
Your skin burn is type 1 when your skin changes color and becomes red due to a burn but does not blister. This type of burn, only involves the outer layer of the skin. This burn is the mildest type of burn.
The severity of the second type of burn is moderate and is accompanied by blisters, burning and pain. We can characterize this burn by severe pain. When you get a type 2 burn, you need to take care of it because your wound may become infected.
This type of burn, destroys the entire epidermis of the skin; and when the intensity of the burn is very high, also the tissues under the skin get damaged. In this type of burn, the person does not feel pain because the burn destroys the nerve of the burned part. But he should see a doctor very soon if he sees evidence of burns.
There are several surgical procedures to remove scar tissue. Large skin scars become smaller and less visible with surgery; and surgery on small scars causes the scar to disappear completely. Another method used to remove scars is to hide them using hair transplants in burned areas. In some cases, when the scar area is large, they first surgically shrink it and then implant hair on it to make it less visible.
Hair transplants in areas of the skin that have scars require more care and time. Scar tissue does not have blood vessels; so burnt skin is less likely to respond to hair transplants than healthy areas of skin. If you want to do hair transplants in your scar areas, you should know that your hair transplant does not end in one session. And also, it does not give the desired density; but you should do hair transplants in at least two or even three sessions to get the desired result.
There is a lot of hard tissue in the scar area, which prevents the implanted hair from growing in the direction you want. The depth of hair graft implants in the scar area should be greater than in other areas so that they can reach the roots of the blood vessels. It is best to keep the scar areas where you implanted the hair in them, warm and relevant after the hair transplant; because the blood supply to those areas is poor.
