Shiraz, the cultural capital of Iran, located among Zagros mountains like a piece of heaven. The land of beautiful and green gardens full of grapes and sour orange.
Shiraz will tempt anyone to visit it at least once in a life time, choosing this city as your destination is like beginning to travel in the passage of history by passing from the grandeur of ancient Iran and amazing architecture and gardens from Zand and Qajar period and finally land in the present time.
The city was residence of many poets such as Saadi, Hafez, Forsat-ol-dowleh Shirazi and etc. and the biggest residence of Qashqaii tribe during history. You can see Shiraz’s name on epigraphs from 2000 B.D which archaeologists have found in Elam. According to the epigraphs the original name of the city was “Tirazis” or “Shirazis”. During Sassanid dynasty, the city was a part of Ardeshirkhore, one of the five important areas of Firouz Abad city.
