Ramsar is a one of the Mazandaran Province cities. The Natives speak of Gilan is Gilaki language which is one of the Northwest-Iranian languages. Ramsar known for having some of the highest natural background radiation on Earth.

Ramsar is member of the modern global intergovernmental environmental agreements. The treaty was negotiated in the 1960s by countries and non governmental organizations concerned about the increasing loss and degradation of wetland habitat for migratory waterbirds. It was adopted in the Iran in 1971 and came into force in 1975.
Since it has been approved, Convention has been modified on two occasions: by a protocol (a new treaty which amends the original treaty) in December 1982, and by a series of amendments to the original treaty, known as the “Regina Amendments” of 1987.
The Ramsar Palace is one of the Iran attractions, historic buildings and royal residences in Iran. The palace was created on a land of 60,000 meters in 1937.The area was a historical garden in that. The palace was used as a summer residence by Reza Shah and then by his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and his second spouse Sorayya Esfendiari spent their honeymoon in the palace.

Javaher Deh is a village in Sakht Sar Rural District, in the Central District of Ramsar, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 170, in 76 families.[wikipedia]
Javaher Deh located 27 kilometers from Ramsar and at a height of 2000 meters above the Alborz Mountains. Javaher in Farsi means Jewel and this amazing and beautiful village is worthy of such name, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of this amazing place. The village is popular because of its lush landscape, tall mountains, mineral springs and beautiful fogs. Javaher Deh is a destination for many tourists in north of the country.
This village displays several thousand years’ history, old graves and Mitra worshipers placed in it. Despite of high volume of tourists in this village, people of this village have retained their local and native traditions.
Markuh castle is located in Ramsar, Katalem town, in the route to Talarsar, and it registered as one of Iran’s national relics with the registration number of 3484 in March 15th, 2001.It is probable that its origin goes back to the Pre-Islamic eras.
Markuh castle used to be a strategic castle and had a military use during the third, sixth and eight Hijri centuries. From the top levels of this place, everywhere from north to the sea, east to Tonekabon, west to Ramsar, and from south to Alborz mountains could be surveilled.
There is a 340-staired way from the domain to reach the castle. The castle is next to the Ramsar Road to Tonekabun, on the right hand.
