Nowadays you can see a lot of methods for skin rejuvenation, various kinds of face lift surgeries, using lasers and injection botox or face fillers. In this article we want to talk about the differences between injecting botulinum toxin(botox) and face fillers. But Before we start to compare botox and face filler injection, let’s see what exactly these skin rejuvenation methods are.
Botox is actually the name of a brand. It is gotten from the weakened venom of Botulism, in which scientists get the “A” continuum of it and dilute it a lot, in order to be able to use a very little amount of it as a muscle paralysis. The general name of it is : botulinum toxin. This product can have different brands, One of these brands is “ BOTOX” which a special factory is producing it. The other brand is “DYSPORT” and another brand is “MASPORT”, Masport is producing in Iran.
In filler injection, a layer or a very soft texture of filler is injected into the skin. The main purpose of this injection is to fill in facial wrinkles and restore the appearance and softer texture of the face. This injection is possible in different parts of the face and has different types with different shelf life.
Face fillers and botox are all wrinkle removers. Botox contains a toxin called botulinum toxin, which causes temporary paralysis of the injection muscle, which helps to reduce wrinkles. It works by blocking nerve signals in the muscles at the injection site. Botox is often used to remove forehead wrinkles; while fillers are the same wrinkle fillers that help eliminate these lines.
Fillers are usually applied around the eyes, mouth, nose and cheeks. Skin fillers may help increase lip volume. The results of a study showed that Botox and filler procedures are safe if performed by experienced dermatologists; and side effects occur in less than 1% of recipients, and most of these cases are minor.
Although Botox and fillers are minimally invasive, they still have some risks and side effects. Before performing these treatments, one should be aware of all the possible risks and benefits.
Botox and fillers are not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. People who have certain health conditions or are taking certain medications should consult their doctor before using Botox or fillers. Lastly, remember to think realistically about Botox and fillers. Although these methods can give you a younger look, the results are temporary and will not be as effective as surgery. So if you’re an unrealistic patient, it is better to not think about having these kind of treatments!
